First try at Gluten Free Bread

I decided to try making some Gluten-Free Bread.  The recipe that I used is found here.  First there was the mixing of some really weird ingredients.

Doesn’t look like bread dough, but apparently that is what it is supposed to look like.

This picture just cracked me up because I realized that I have no idea on how to put parchment paper in a loaf pan.  Sure enough, it made it tough to put the dough/batter in.IMG_2154

Here it is.  Pretty hard to split it in half.  And is that dough stickyIMG_2155

Let it rise for a bit.  It did actually rise.IMG_2156

In the oven for 35 minutes.  Looks pretty good, maybe a little dark.IMG_2157

The taste is ok compared to real bread and really good compared to other GF breads that I have had, and it actually has a consistency like bread.  This one is a keeper.

  1. Could you email me the link to the recipe? For some reason, Chrome couldn’t find it. GF products are often gummy, and sometimes lighter than wheat products. This is especially true of coconut flour. But if you’re gf and dying for some baked goods, they taste great! :-}

    1. Thanks. It turned out really well. I’ve baked and cooked all of my life. Right now I mostly bbq, but I have been working to expand my repitore.

  2. Hello just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the
    pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking
    issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.

  3. Hello there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering
    if you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment
    form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one?
    Thanks a lot!
